After 5 albums to his name, Grégory Privat presents his next album entitled Yonn , which means the number “One” in Creole. Indeed, this is the first time that the Martinican pianist will offer a “solo piano” album.
For this recording of 11 tracks recorded entirely in Cologne, Grégory Privat offers intimate music which takes its sources from West Indian culture, classical music and Jazz.
A contemplative journey which will combine the notes of the piano with the voice of the musician as 5 pieces are sung in the repertoire.
Made up entirely of original compositions, this album imagined and created during the 2020 confinement period will be under the theme of meditation and returning to oneself, like a confidence full of light, comfort and hope.
